Looking for that perfect family gift or the perfect gift for the man in your life? Ohio Flame has these great fire pits. The one I reviewed is part of their “Patriot” line of Fire Pits. It is 24″ around and perfect for creating a ‘campfire’ setting in your own backyard.
One of the things I love about this fire pit is that it is made by Ohio Flame. They are a company that is DEDICATED to making products within the US and using US steel. Knowing that steel is heavy, I wasn’t surprised to receive this fire pit and find that it weighs 38 pounds! The bowl is SOLID! It puts those flimsy fire pits to shame. You can tell it is built to last. And that is a good thing too, cuz the design is timeless. You could work it into any decor.
And check out the drain hole. You won’t need to empty it when it rains. It won’t become a bird bath in your yard. That was what I was afraid of.
We have had a Chiminea style fire pit in the past. And those are nice, but they don’t have a campfire feel to them. You can’t really roast marshmallows and hot dogs and socialize with it. This is perfect. The height only being 12 inches, makes it easy for everyone to sit around it and socialize while making s’mores. Check out that picture of my girls doing just that. Please take note though, it is still VERY warm here in the Phoenix area. So, there was no need for bundling up. We just wanted to make a campfire.
