Recipe: Apple Pie Pancakes With Krusteaz

By  |

I know pretty much every day is national “something” day. But did you know February 28th is National Pancake Day? My favorite day… I love pancakes! Especially Apple Pie Pancakes!

Krusteaz and T-Fal have partnered with me to bring you some pancake goodness. While I personally LOVE pancakes and everything about them I know so many of us like different things on our pancakes. While some are traditionalists and prefer syrup and butter (YUM), my favorite topping is homemade apple compote. SO amazing! You will be surprised at how easy it is to make too!

You will need:

  • 4 large crisp apples
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • Krusteaz pancake mix (and box ingredients)

Instructions

add water and brown sugar to skillet to start simmering. Cut apples into chunks and place in skillet, mixing together. Let simmer on low/medium heat for 20 minutes until apples are soft, stirring frequently. Make pancakes according to package directions. Top hot pancakes with warm compote and whipped cream if desired. Serve immediately.

If you don’t like apples you can substitute berries or pears! OR have a mix of all 🙂
